November roadshow in the Karoo

Dear readers,

Summer is (very) slowly coming to the Cape and before the end-of-year festivities, the Karoo Predator Project is going to go on a roadshow through parts of the Karoo to present some of the results of the research that has been conducted so far.

For now, the plan is as follow:

  • Sutherland: 11/11/2016
  • Laingsburg: 12/11/2016
  • Beaufort West: 14/11/2016
  • Prince Albert: 14-15/11/2016

Prof. Beatrice Conradie, Prof. Nicoli Nattrass, Dr. Marion Tafani and Marine Drouilly will be present at each farmers meeting and talk about their research findings.

Prof. Justin O’Riain, Prof. Stephen Redpath from the Institute of Biological & Environmental Sciences at the University of Aberdeen, Prof. Jeremy Seekings, Storme Viljoen and Kai Fitchen will probably only join for the trip to Laingsburg.

The Karoo Predator Project invites all interested parties/farmers to join any of these meetings to learn more about its research on predator (black-backed jackal, caracal, chacma baboon) ecology.

We hope to see you many of you there!
