Last week, Marine Drouilly, our carnivore researcher, took part in the 27th International Congress for Conservation Biology – 4th European Congress for Conservation Biology in Montpellier, France.
It was a great opportunity to meet with other researchers working on similar topics (human-wildlife conflicts, carnivores) and to attend very interesting talks.
Marine presented the first results of her camera-trapping surveys on a poster and answered many questions. It was also a great opportunity to meet Dr. Jan Kamler, previously working on jackals in South Africa and now on dholes in Asia, and discuss about mesopredator ecology. To have a look at the research Dr. Kamler was conducting on canids in South Africa, follow this link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iRVGGkjC50
